Microneedling Radiofrequency is a procedure which uses a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency to create micro–injury in the deeper layers of the skin . The main aim of this treatment is the generation of new collagen tissue for a smoother, firmer, and more toned skin. It is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores
It can be used to improve the following conditions,
- Acne and other scars
- Rough leathery skin texture
- Enlarged Pores
- Excess sebum production
- Stretch marks
- Mild to moderate laxity of skin
- Wrinkles and fine lines
During the procedure, the doctor will use a probe with fine needles on the skin. The microneedles penetrate into the deep dermis, where the radiofrequency energy is delivered to stimulate collagen synthesis under the skin. The damage done to the epidermis is very minimal, hence there is no downtime.
Before getting started, the doctor will recommend the use of a topical anesthetic to reduce the chances of pain. This is done usually about an hour before the treatment procedure. Serum or calming treatment might be applied.
The patient might observe mild redness for the first few days following the procedure. This is a natural response to the small “injuries” made by the microneedles in the skin. After microneedling, the skin will work fairly quickly to rejuvenate new tissue.
MNRF is avery simple, safe, effective and minimally invasive procedure to treat Acne scars, open pores, stretchmarks and for skin tightening. It can also reduce oiliness of the skin and control recurrences of the pimples.
